LCMT 5-Axis Claymill

Our customers liked the idea of a full function on-plate 5-axis Claymill inside their new design studios, but wanted a lighter, nearly silent version that will not distract from their creative process.

TARUS drew on our 30 years of clay milling machine experience and spent 5 years developing exactly what was needed.

The LCMT is, by a large margin, the highest performance, quietest, easiest to install and use on-plate 5 Axis studio clay milling machine available. The LCMT will produce Class-A surfaces effortlessly.

Machine Function

3 and 5 Axis CNC milling and measuring of design models.

Clay and foam.

Perfect for in-studio milling full featured, no compromises.

Milling head/spindle ~50% the size of our CM5P and MM5.

Installation Features

The LCMT is designed to be installed inside design studios with or without surface plates.

Low profile rails contain all running hardware plus AC power and can be installed above floor or in trenches.

Rails are modular, standard length of sections is 118″ / 3,000 mm.

Multiple columns can be added to rail Installation as needed.

Performance Features

Rack and pinion drive on X,Y and Z axes with dual servo motors to eliminate backlash and increase acceleration rates.

Rack and pinion provides very quiet operation compared to ball screw driven machines.

Advanced monocoque aluminum alloy construction of machine column and milling arm reduces weight for increased performance while increasing stability and rigidity.

TARUS fork style milling head, direct / absolute angular position feedback ensures milled surface patches match.

Power liquid cooled spindle, nearly silent.

LCMT XL

The LCMT is now available in a larger version to accommodate commercial vehicle models.
